Award winning TV comedy director Gordon Anderson joins Academy

Gordon is best known for directing the BAFTA winning Best New Comedy series, “The Inbetweeners”.
He also co-writes and directs “The Catherine Tate Show”, which was nominated at BAFTA for Best Comedy in 2004, 2006 and 2007.

Gordon’s background is in theatre direction which is where he honed his performance skills and exceptional comedic timing.
He was Assistant Director for the Royal Court Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company between 1995 and 1997 and also co-founder of The League of Gentlemen comedy group, which has now been translated from the stage into a major television series.

Gordon’s first work for Academy was a 20 part episodic branded entertainment mini-series to launch O2’s ‘Load&Go’ debit card for teenagers.
