I’ve been directing promos, short films and commercials since I graduated from an Animation degree in 2001. A childhood of fancy dress, dancing to Madonna and making home made VHS animation helped shape me into the director I am now. I’ve very recently made the switch to shooting live action and have been commissioned as a film maker and artist by a variety of clients from Channel 4 to Vivienne Westwood.
Alongside film making I’ve established myself as an illustrator and designer, having been published in various magazines from Dazed to NINSDOL, Joe Corres new mag for his label Terrorist. I’ve art directed a catwalk for Westwood, taught erotic life drawing at Coco de Mer and regularly exhibited at the 1930’s evening The Modern Times Club. I hope to bring some of this theatricality and sexuality into videos especially with strong female artists.
Awards I’ve won are: Best First Film 2004, Annecy International Animation Festival for “Puleng”; and the Icelandic Music Awards 2006 – Best Music Video for “Sunnyroad” by Emiliana Torrini. Sunnyroad was also nominated for a CAD in 2006.
