Si&Ad had wildly divergent starts to their careers. Ad went to Kings College where he did a BSc in Mathematics, while Si studied a BA in Graphic Design at Salford University and in the process won a D&AD award for Best New Media Design.

Si&Ad met in 1998 when Si joined Virgin Records where Ad was already employed. There they worked as designers in-house creating artwork and websites for acts as varied as The Rolling Stones, The Chemical Brothers, The Spice Girls, The Verve and Massive Attack. The latter three earned Ad respective CAD awards. They then moved onto making video clips in-house at Virgin for bands including The Music and Gomez.

In the spring of 2002 they joined Academy. Their eclectic taste and commitment to innovative ideas has allowed them to go on to make videos for Groove Armada, Mcfly, The Ordinary Boys, Chikinki and Fionn Regan. Both Chikinki and Mcfly won CAD awards.

Si&Ad then completed a short film entitled ‘Street Dream’ featuring Ashley Walters. This led to them making commercials for Orange, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Pepsi and Miller. In 2006 they received an award for a charity film at Cannes and a BTA Craft Award for Best New Director.

They have also recently completed their second short film ‘Post-it Love’ starring Charity Wakefield.
