Martin de Thurah has just completed another stunning music video, this time for the song “Flowers and Football Tops”, by NME’s Most Promising New Band for 2008, Glasvegas.

The track was inspired by very personal events in the band’s lives, and they felt Martin’s abstract style was ideally suited to the depth of emotion they were keen to express without veering towards sentimentality.
In fact they were so keen to work with him that they broke off in the middle of their sell-out UK tour for the 2 day shoot on location in London.

Martin wanted to avoid professional actors where possible for the film, so all the extras were street-cast.

Martin and DOP Lasse Frank (who was collaborating with Martin for the first time) created the central storm experience entirely in camera.

Post was completed in Denmark by Duckling and Martin did some of it himself as well.
