Tony’s most recent spot for WCRS was shot over two days in the stunning surroundings of Cervino in the Italian Alps.
With Lago Blue and Mount Cervinia (known more famously on the Swiss side as the Matterhorn) in the background, the film features a mixture of male and female models from Brazil, Italy, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
Lago Blue sits in a protected nature reserve owned by the Catholic Church, so only once permission from the local priest and the town mayor had been granted, could the standing platform used be constructed and submerged into it.
The shoot was run out of Milan (with Orlando Films) because of the ready supply of catwalk models at the end of the fashion season. And the local fashion tailoring allowed us to create made-to-measure swimwear in the required 1960’s Chanel style, that was in fact more cost effective than buying ready made outfits.
The film was shot by DOP Sean Bobbitt, using 35mm Fuji Vivid, to give the colours that slightly unreal ‘perfect’ look.
