Kathryn’s success has spanned several decades with vampire western Near Dark and the genre defining Point Break igniting her career. In 2008 she became the first woman to win a Best Director Oscar for The Hurt Locker. The film won a further five Academy Awards including Best Picture.

Other feature credits include Strange Days (Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Lewis) and Zero Dark Thirty (Jessica Chastain, James Gandolfini, Jason Clarke).

She has directed a wide range of commercial projects including include work for Chanel, the NBA and Pirelli, the latter starring Uma Thurman.
