Chris Rule blends rich photographic style, characterful performance and inventive technique. Chris first established himself as part of the directing duo Conkerco with animation promos for the likes of Bonobo & The Flaming Lips. Moving into live action work with the short film 'Marjorie Daw' which was selected for the Saatchi & Saatchi New Director Showcase. This film put Chris on the map and he hasn’t looked back, blending photo-real post and animation with strong cinematography for Sky, Ikea, Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Cadbury, British Airways, SSE (which won 2 Pencils at D&AD) and many more.
Chris’s second short, 'Glance' (a collaboration with Director Ben White) is a visually poetic journey through the potential relationship of two strangers and further showcases craftsmanship and love of storytelling. The film won awards and official selection at festivals across the globe.
Chris continues to develop his interest in experiential narrative and is currently developing an immersive promo to premiere at the Outernet in 2024.
