Joseph Kahn

A prominent directing voice during the rise of hip hop, South Korean-American Joseph Kahn has created videos for Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and many more in an era defining period for video. Landmark promos like ‘Gravel Pit’ by Wu-Tang, the Grammy winning ‘Without Me’ by Eminem and ‘Toxic’ for Britney Spears illustrate Kahn’s ability to transcend the genre; he can create a cultural event with the release of a single video.

His music video back catalogue reads like a who’s who of influential music acts, chalking up tens of billions of YT hits for Beyonce, Rhianna, Kendrick Lamar, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Pharrell Williams, Elton John and so many more.

Kahn’s creative partnership with Taylor Swift has seen him direct eight videos to date, winning a second Music Video Grammy for the star studded ‘Bad Blood’. Grammy’s aside, JK has won several MTV Moon Men and the prestigious UK MVA Icon Award for services to music video.

Away from music videos JK has directed commercials for Smirnoff, Samsung, Adidas, Boots, Walkers and many more in a career spanning over 30 years so far.
