Si & Ad have been a directing duo since their early days as in-house designers at Virgin Records. They began in music videos before moving into commercials, quickly earning a reputation for crafting intricate, character-driven films where technique elevates—never overshadows—the heart of the story.
Known for their sharp comedic instincts and distinctly British sense of humour, Si & Ad bring a rare blend of warmth, wit and visual sophistication to their work. Their skill in character design, post-production and animation allows them to build worlds that feel both delightfully imaginative and emotionally grounded.
After early standout campaigns for Honda, MoreThan and Miller, the duo gained global recognition with their charming love story for Match.com, garnering Golds at Cannes, AICP, the British Arrows and the One Show. Further acclaimed work for Robinsons, TalkTalk, The Trainline, Durex, Thinkbox and Morrisons cemented their place in Campaign Magazine’s Top 10 Directors of the Year for several consecutive years.
Their third short film, Indoor, earned official selection status and multiple festival awards, and in 2015 they premiered their debut feature, Shovel Buddies, at SXSW.
More recent work includes films for The AA, Heathrow, British Gas and PG Tips, continuing their run of smart, characterful and brilliantly funny storytelling.
